I am 76 & very happy to pay my share to educate future generations, support libraries, parks, police, fire, community programs & everything else that my community funds.
Show PostSuch BS. I am that generation. This idiot refuses to see the ethical, the essential nature of supporting future generations throughout their health and education. Even if I were childless(or grandchildless) I would gladly provide for the future of others in any way I could. He is indeed antisocial.
Show PostThere's also no logic to the argument. The mortgage is just completely unrelated. It's a contract with a bank that gave you a loan.
Show PostBoomer here. Never had kids. Never complained about paying property tax. This is a crazy point of view, always has been. Why would someone want to see their property value go down eventually when schools begin to suffer and fail?
Show PostI’m 82. I still use the roads, public transportation, police and fire service, not to mention I want healthy, educated young people out there. I am lucky enough to own a small townhouse and believe I should pay my fair share until I die.
