Same!!! I was a huge reader and it never crossed my mind that normal everyday people like me wrote books (I dont know where I thought they came from). Or that *I* could write books. It took forever for me to realize I could and wanted to. #KidLitChat

Yep. I'm a retired middle school ELA teacher, and I much prefer to chat with a class than to do something in an auditorium. I don't love that at all. I'd rather the kids have a chance to participate. #kidlitchat

I think, too, a lot of this depends on the age group of the presentation. I think many of us have talked with teachers/librarians rather than kids, so that's a totally different thing. But a good school visit with kids is magical #kidlitchat
