I’ve had more dates and more disappointment than I can possibly count in the last 8 years but I’ve accepted it as part of the game. I’m not particularly sentimental about sex, I enjoy it and I don’t need commitment to have it. But for the first time I feel uncomfortable. Tricked emotionally.

It should be possible to buy high spec kitchen appliances where the higher price is due to better quality parts, higher reliability and a longer operating life, rather than a "smart" wifi connection that enables me to start the dishwasher when I'm overseas.

The licence fee is the biggest bargain in the UK. Not only do you get dozens of TV channels, radio stations, websites, apps, educational resources etc but it supports the infrastructure that enables all terrestrial TV.
