We don't want to spend our time worrying about tariffs or ICE or which right wing oligarch is buying a media company this week. We want to unplug and unwind. We want to just watch TV or go out with friends and not have to check our phones with dread every three seconds. Trump is exhausting!

I think the midterm results might reflect that everyone is sick of politics and sick of the president in their face all the time. We used to have whole swaths of time where nothing unusual happened and we never thought about the president. People want that back! We want our brain space back.
