Able bodies are upset when their eyes are opened to a broader humanity, to bodies that aren't able/healthy when chronically ill and disabled people become visible in the society. Their internalised ableism and lack of adequate emotional regulation makes them accuse vulnerable people of "contagion".

And yeah, okay. Maybe… just maybe my ongoing GI symptoms have gotten out of control enough that it’s possible they’re not wrong 🫠 MCAS is so hard to navigate; my food aversion & anxieties are just getting worse because everything makes me sick. And… honestly? Shit is getting scary.
