50 Winston-Salem Black Panther Party members travelled to the Beaufort County Courthouse in April 1975, rallying to free Joan Little. Ms. Little escaped the Beaufort County jail in 1974 after killing White prison guard Clarence Alligood, who was sexually assaulting her.
