I recommend doi.org/10.1126/science.caredit.aay0523 by @jananiharan.bsky.social for a good intro to the hidden curriculum. "If you know these things, you barely notice them. If you don't, they are completely bewildering" is the most visceral way I've heard it described, and that resonated with me.
