As long as those who perpetuate the lost cause narrative are tolerated as a person with a different point of view, rather than fools and idiots, this madness will not end. The confederacy was wrong, and so are those who ignorantly defend it.

The best way to challenge the Lost Cause narrative of the Confederacy is to do good history. You can't do it by making vague comparisons with what is happening in the present and you certainly can't do it with a political axe to grind, regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum.
