Another interesting tidbit: Just before Abigail Spanberger took office as VA governor, the outgoing Youngkin administration deeded the statue to the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation. The Memorial is on loan to ANC. So if a future Democratic president removes it, it goes to the SVBF.
