Anyone who suggests that ending the war in Ukraine without a full Russian withdrawal will somehow save Ukrainian lives is either deeply misinformed or deliberately dishonest. I have been to Ukraine since the war started and have visited the scenes of the mass murders in Bucha and Irpan.
