Few things make a Gen X woman of a certain age feel more competent & useful than being asked by their teen child to identify a song, and knowing it’s Duran Duran “Save a Prayer for the Morning After” in like 2.5 notes. Like, I spent middle school training for this.

I've gotten a couple lately that I actually think might have been real but I was so turned off by the emails that even if it had come from someone I knew personally, I wouldn't have wanted to have anything to do with it.

I know one of us says this basically every day, but if you are an actual podcaster/bookstore/book club organizer... do not use chatGPT to write your pitch. We will delete it. We see 7-371 of them a day and we can spot them by the 5th word. It doesn't matter if you're real. We'll delete it.
