Part 2, resources from the school that explain who to contact when bullying happens and what bullying vs conflict is (which can also be shown in the skits). Students can even create the scenes themselves. Gives them power and motivation. Also shows options for real life use. #TeacherEd #SafeSchools

I’m a CE having, still in alternate route, soon to be Theater teacher. I can have a class day where we act out HIB scenarios. I can have students act out HIB, by standing, and upstanding. Before and/or after the scenes we can have a class discussion about everything learned and give out resources…

I heard a kindergarten teacher talking to her students about the difference between helpful & harmful comments: "If your comment is something that a person can't change in 30 seconds or less, you shouldn't say it." Her examples were, "You have toothpaste on your chin" vs. "Your dimples are weird."

As a Pre-K teacher, I have mostly observed behaviors like exclusion, unkind words, and difficulties with sharing or taking turns. These behaviors can impact students by making them feel sad and left out and can affect their confidence and participation in the classroom. #TeacherEd#Safeschools
