I think i might have some competition for biggest bluey fan in my apartment right now. my girlfriend's daughter came in and immediately started grabbing my bluey plushes and putting them in the dog bed and saying which characters are her favorite. and wowow mom mode today 🥹🥹🥹

Instead of 'no' (which has been hard to untrain), we always explain why. Doesn't always work, she's 2, but there is always a reason. Honestly, my kids are more likely to get such an in-depth answer to 'why' that they get bored and walk away than they are to be scolded for asking.

Between this and the fact that by age 12, kids with ADHD are estimated (on average) to have been told 'no' 20k more times than a neurotypical kid, my partner and I made a solemn promise to NEVER scold 'why'?
