everyone’s real problem these days is that we’ve lost the traditional family. without an active father in your life to threaten his half brother at swordpoint in a way so hateful and phallic that you still feel some guilty arousal at the memory you’re going to end up with some serious issues

That doesn’t mean I don’t have my own headcanons about her. I have plenty! It’s just flat out wrong to claim that you can’t build a picture of Indis from the text simply because she doesn’t get much space

I’ve spent months digging into the vanyar and u don’t get much direct information there, much of what we’re told about the vanyar is framed in relation to the Noldor, so you have to dig through linguistic arguments to piece things together. Just to get some idea of who *Indis* is
