Peter, this metaphor I used in a recent Stop the Presses newsletter helps explain why I think it's important for major media to be explicit about what's happening to us – to use words like "fascism" and "dictatorship" if that's what we're facing.

How about just frame it in a way that’s accurate. Don’t sugar coat to protect feelings. If he’s constantly lying, say so. Fair and balanced doesn’t include allowing for nuance in situations that don’t have any. He’s lying. He’s corrupt. These are all facts. There’s no middle ground.
