So much THIS. Right now, I'm thinking, for example, of all the women on the Cornell Campus trying to study, to learn, to bond with others while knowing they are surrounded by so many potential rapists and that the leaders are accommodating and supporting these rapists.

Both where meiosis happens in plants, and the fact that meiosis makes spores NOT gametes; plant gametes are made by mitosis (in angiosperms by the pollen and ovules). It takes a while for many students to see that difference from animals, I think in part because it’s obscured by botanical terms
