It's probably gonna be greatly increasing the $100 to get your game listed, but that's gonna hurt actual indies that can't afford thousands in tokens. Got my own game that we're shooting for the February Next Fest and having to keep it mostly dark and drop the demo a week before so nobody steals it.

Well, when the competition is not even doing that (and is pushing AI/vibe coded slop into their launchers, stores and games) then yes, even the bare minimum is "superior."

Knowing Steam/Valve, they see the issue unfold, analyze it and the fucking hit them where it hurts. The Steam controller scalping issue was a prime example of Valve effectively stopping scalpers dead in their tracks with the second batch.

They made a big fuss about forcing games to disclose AI. Studios don’t disclose it which was supposed to remove the game as TOS violation but every studio started lying about it and they don’t have the moderators to check everything.
