If he said all the correct things but had a bad voting record, you'd still be mad. "He's a snake, how can we trust his words when he's voted to take our rights away?" You're just looking for a reason to be mad. He's the clear choice for any real trans rights activist.

Talarico was clearly lying to get elected and I'm genuinely sick of having to do the throat clearing about how bad the comment was. I'm *glad* he's lying. I *want* him to lie. And even as far as lies goes, he left a loophole you could drive a semi through.

This is completely untrue lol. You would not lose the democratic party for a generation if Talarico wins. He's using some slightly ambiguous rhetoric after being one of the most pro-trans Dems in Texas. Showing that someone that progressive can win in Texas would make the party *more* pro-trans.

Talarico has a pro-trans voting record. Even if he did not, he’d be one senator from a deep-red state. “We lose the Democratic Party for a generation if he wins” is simply false, and the people telling you this sort of stuff are basically exploiting fear and depression for your attention.
