St. Cloud State has received a commitment from Brettlyn Lane, a 16-year-old forward who competed with Team Illinois last season. Originally from Cedar Rapids, IA. My women's DI commitment tracker: www.apx-hockey.com/news-detail-17

Sydney's tracker has 12 players committed today. Yale has four of them. The entire NCHC has one (Honeybaked forward Dylan Delgado to Western Michigan). The times, they are a changin'.

Also worth mentioning, UMD has not commonly picked up any recruits on day 1 since these rules were adopted in 2018. Zam Plante is the only one I can recall. (Victor and Max both waited a day.) Seems that one worked out okay.

Happy August 1. Follow Sydney for all your recruiting needs. She's very good at this. As usual, I'll pass along anything I see, but mostly will refrain from commenting on players I've never seen, you know, play.
