Bongó: Icelandic for fabulous weather. Etymology: in a 1980s Eurovision qualifier song called Sólarsamba (e. Sun Samba) the word bongóbliða is used. Blíða means good weather cf. blíður means gentle, bongó is used as an amplifier and has come to stand on its own.
