Option 2 is the most intuitive for me. I know 4 is nice but my brain doesn't follow it the same way

I go option 4 these days because option 2 ends up being annoying in refactors a lot.

Option 1: I’m too lazy to think about possible nullability and its evaluation (2, 3), or reading some fluff (4). Also not expecting everyone has same knowledge of language features as me 🤷♂️ I’m perhaps too old.

Any() has an optimized path for collections so it doesn't create an enumerator but checks the count instead: source.dot.net#System.Linq/...
