The truth is that I’m not really having a big emotional reaction to the BioWare news today. BioWare as I knew it announced its death with the release of Veilguard and executed it when it laid off basically the whole team. I mourn for the folks who lost their jobs, as always, but c’mon.

I can’t really overemphasize how important the Dragon Age games are to me. Between the characters, the world-building, and the gameplay, they genuinely gave me gaming experiences I’ve never had before or since. It’s messed up how I’m still chasing those feelings!!

I wonder if the prevalence of things like 1 day amazon boycotts has just convinced everybody that consumer action isn't possible. It is! Be loud! Be judgy! Make it feel shameful to use AI! To watch harry potter! To play xbox games! The capitalists and fascists of the world thrive on complacency!
