Everyone talks about the morality of voting for this and that and nobody talks about how voting is fun to do. It's literally fun. You could just leave most of it blank and only vote for like One thing if you want. You could mail in the whole thing blank. The sky is the limit of your imagination.

IDK man, which sounds better to you, having a private car that can do a flip that costs a ton of money or having an easily accessible public train line that's clean and takes you where you want to go and costs very little to use and you can just chill out on it and it probably won't explode randomly

This is also all to say, that I think a big part of why several left leaning political candidates in the US have been flourishing recently is because they're actually articulating a positive vision of a better future.

I bring all of this up again to say that I think that this is the fundamental feature of most tech optimism, and in particular, most legibly, what you see in average people who are all in on AI. Every single one of them I've spoken to is convinced it's going to magically unlock abundance for them.
