Those who identify as trans should be protected from harassment & discrimination: the Equality Act UK does this. The issue is 'trans women are women' which is presented as a statement of solidarity but, in reality, undermines women's Equality Act UK protection from harassment and discrimination.

If legislation changes to prioritise one group (trans) above another (women) driven by mantra 'trans women are women' then inevitably an issue is created. It's not "evil" it's a necessary debate about fairness, equity, rights. Recognising, supporting and celebrating women's existence matters too.
