Personally, I wear a helmet for my own mistakes as well as environment. But the idea that cyclists and pedestrians are expected to defend their bodies through clothing choices in the same way women shouldn’t wear short skirts to prevent assault is completely missing the point.

Expand the City’s renowned rec booking system to intersections. Cyclists & pedestrians can book a crossing up to 24hrs in advance. Limit of 5 crossings per user per day unless you subscribe to a monthly crossing bundle. Nonresidents may only book 30mins in advance. Coming to Marks platform soon!

Was treated to beautifully smoked ribs for supper, and had a gorgeous, slow, quiet ride home along the Canal. Friend made it another ~17kms without too many complaints. Even admitted it was "nice". (Super glad we didn't need to train home!)

Drivers seem quite happy to do a right on a red light & drive between pedestrians crossing on a green light. Anticipating our move - get it wrong & we get hit. I call it the “bum rush”, as they threaten to nudge us out of the way. Yesterday saw a driver go around a guy using an electric wheelchair.
