In no other context is it acceptable to say "I don't like this group of people defined by an immutable characteristic." Women, the elderly, people with disabilities, people of color, people with blue eyes, people who were born in Arkansas, etc. You would be called a bigot, and rightfully so.

My kids were asking why I picked our current church, and I explained I wanted to find a place where it was obvious everyone felt safe. My middle goes, “it’s right by a cemetery. I don’t feel safe.” Which, valid.
