I am frequently embarrassed by the fact that I can't afford nicer things like new shoes or haircuts or to get the bill at dinner ever. I've had to put stuff back at the grocery store more times than I can count. but some trash terf millionaire who lives in a literal castle gets to call me "elite"

listen I'm never gonna claim that I'm the most down and out you can get haha, my parents do okay even if they came from working class/poverty, like I was never hungry as a kid for example. I have somewhere to go if I lose my apartment. but "elite"? elite WHAT, dude? I can't even afford shoes lmao

I've been called "elite" because I'm a full time working cartoonist. buddy I went to a rural title 1 school and state college, I make 20k a year, I'm on Medicaid, and i don't have a kitchen. minimum wage in Seattle pays more than what I earn in this job
