Had a main stage set at Reading & Leeds yrs ago. A crew member volunteered to change my bass strings before we went on. He wound them backwards. I didn’t notice until we were walking onto the stage. Played the whole set like that. Same guy was later fired for assaulting our TM. lol

Young women, queer communities, & people of color generate & popularize the culture that later becomes mainstream. Mocking fangirls is just misogyny dressed up as culture policing. Show me one artist who doesn’t want/rely on those demographics & I’ll show you a goddamn liar.

maybe sort of random but i’m working on a thesis project about the impact of fangirls on artist success and am wondering if you have any thoughts on that? i think fangirls often get a bad rep but even as someone who grew as an idkhow fan from 13 to now 23 i think it made a positive impact on me
