When"Mike" Johnson was sworn in as Speaker in 2024, no one says his name. He then swears in the entire House, en masse. No names. This is the process we're all scared about for January. The incoming House must elect a Speaker before they are sworn in. The Clerk of the House decides who is eligible.

What's really funny about Trump's demand that Ilhan Omar be unseated from Congress because she changed her name, is that he's forced to use the legal name of our House Speaker: James Michael Johnson. Not "Mike". And none of this matters for a swearing-in ceremony because those don't involve names.
