Would I perhaps take up arms to defend my friends? Yes, but at this rate it's looking more likely that I'll be doing that against the British patriots and the state they support rather than in any kind of alliance with them.

I think the problem there is that there's no inclusive vision of British patriotism because its loudest advocates are, to put it plainly, cunts who hate everything good about this country. So there's a fundamental hole in the heart of it for this purpose.
