Yes, indeed. I think it is especially common in Port because of the regulations which require holding of minimum stocks ("the law of thirds") and that you have a lot of time to play with if you don't sell all your Vintage Port at the first opportunity.

Barros is one of the more affordable Port shippers these days. The fact that this bottle had two foil caps & a cork marked simply "Porto Vintage 1996" suggests to me they were hedging their bets under which brand it would eventually be sold. But that shouldn't put you off buying it!

Really noticed this the other day. Vaguely remembered my mum would pass the time at a bus stop with v young me by going ‘red car…blue car’ etc as they passed. Thought I’d do the same with our baby while waiting for the 161. Within about a minute I was bored of saying ‘grey car’. So tedious!
