I've already had to do something similar with 2 LEDs. Could find an easy easy to externalise them electronically, so used light pipes! Stupid, I realise...🤔

The pot is built into a commercial product that I really don't want to modify. I thought of just putting another pot downstream, but even that is complicated because there are multiple outputs, all controlled by it: L/R(mono)/Aux, all Bal/Unbal, plus Headphones😒

@moreorloess.bsky.social We have these, in this case not even a 'form' (i.e. not visible on a DEM). Others are visible on a DEM as depressions, likely lithalsas. What is interesting: all those little satellites around the larger circle. Also interesting: no one has seen them before.
