The movie should win Best Adapted Screenplay. I wonder if it’s tough to follow if you haven’t read the book though. But since I can’t remove that knowledge from me, I think the adaptation worked amazingly well.

It's a fantasy trilogy by M.A. Carrick. Everyone is in disguise, everyone is lying, complex politics and magic, chosen family, nobility vs the have-nots. Probably my favorite thing I've read all year.

A phenomenal science fiction story. Great writing. Charming characters. Brilliant score. Genuine moments of humor, heart, sadness and joy. The special effects were some of the best I’ve seen in quite some time. Also loved that it was a happy ending. I loved it.
