At Public School in the 90s casual derogatory use of ‘n’ and ‘p’ words was rife. I don’t recall my Jewish friend being singled out. Go home n’s was graffitied on my desk in the geography classroom. The teacher refused my request to scrub it off at the weekend. Established institutional racism.

I would put money on this, there are no instances where a Jewish person has been stopped and searched by police because they are Jewish. refused a job because they’re Jewish, have had their head coverings removed because they’re Jewish or subjected to societal rage because they eat kosher foods.

The poison of antisemitism has absolutely no place in our city, and certainly not in our schools. Reports of antisemitic incidents in schools in England have risen by 59% in just one year. This is appalling.
