From our 1st issue of The Linnean (1984). Linnaeus was keenly interested in diatetics. In unpublished "Diaeta Naturalis" he lists tobacco as "medicine" & not regular diet - that smoking is poisonous. He was a heavy smoker for most of his life. But hey, giving advice is way more fun than taking it?
