Show PostSexless romance or romance with characters who don't want to have sex is great and they should exist in larger quantities because romance is varied. De-sexing books to pushback against the larger acceptance of sex on page in books and readers being horny is... weird to me. Your right but weird. 5/6
Show PostIt feels like a slippery slope to Hay's Code behavior and self-censorship because what if people are upset there's two people having sex or what if they objectify my characters. Our society is already weird about sex in opposite ways (we can't show it but how dare you not want it). 4/6
Show PostJust watched a video from an author who de-sexed their books because they don't want people to objectify the characters due to people being weird about men in cis het romance?? I'm just... wtf. They are within their right to do so, but it's still odd to me. I have thoughts. 1/6
