hard part is half of Covid cases are spread asymptomatically or pre-symptomatically. I ask all my doctors to mask for/with me.
Show PostI had a patient the other day ask if I was sick or something because I wore a mask. I wasn’t. They were. I don’t mask for every encounter, but if you’re on my schedule for a sick visit, i absolutely am.
Show PostI got the flu really bad at the movies in 2016. Nearly ended up in the hospital. At the same time I watched the protests in Hong Kong and everyone was masked. When COVID was rising, I bought N95s and wore them indoors whenever I went out. I haven’t had a cold or the flu in ten years. It’s nice.
Show PostI've been teaching in person since this whole thing started in 2020 and I've worn a mask in school every day, haven't taken a single sick day over the past 6+ school years
Show PostI don't mask in public much anymore but I do at work because I probably encounter 12-15 patients per day with contagious diseases. Does it annoy some people? Have I lost patients because of it? Almost certainly. They can see Dr Gator.
