As a car enthusiast, I’ll note that there’s a growing (though still very niche) appreciation of the fact that car dependency =/= car enthusiasm, and is in fact almost certainly antithetical to it. Ironically, even the car industry is shifting slightly, towards lower volume, higher cost/profit models
