Thought I would make a quick timeline for some major events in 20th century evolutionary biology and quickly ran out of space. It's fascinating that so much of abstract population genetics was formalized before we knew genes are made of DNA

Having terrific grad students when you start the lab can really power your success. It's fun to see these two papers from my first two grad students continuing to garner citations 30 years later, going back and forth in which is most cited. My new postbacs picked these for journal club last week
