Ah, good tip, thanks.Looks like Tegenaria has annulated Eratigena does not. My spider doesn’t. But I’m using my phone at the moment will double check when I get home.
Show PostI think one genus has annulated legs and the other doesn't but not sure.
Show PostEratigena atrica or Tegenaria domestica? I'm leaning towards E. atrica (small pop shown here in Edinburgh in British Spiders) mainly as abdomen pattern not chevrons. This is a male. iRecord as E. atrica agg? @britishspiders.bsky.social @vannabartlett.bsky.social
Show PostIt's neither E.atrica nor T.domestica. It's most probably Eratigena duellica, but I can't be certain without a closer examination. Please record as Eratigena duellica/saeva sens. lat.
Show PostSolifuges are arachnids with many names: Camel Spiders, Wind Scorpions, and Sun Spiders. They look like a cross between a spider and a scorpion, but they are neither. They are in their own order, Solifugae. They do not have venom. #Arachtober #arachnid #macrophotography
