The La Salle Hotel?! It had two stairs! It was also 22 stories tall and had 1,172 guest rooms. This is what chairs of important ICC committees (not randos!) think is in the same universe as a small apartment building.

Its all so depressing. The 2010s was the perfect time to build and California waited until everything got impossible to build to actually give a shit.

Interesting that the ICC is considering single stair and reducing the (dangerous) 26ft minimum clear road width together as external attacks from reformers.
