VDL: "We agreed an annual quota of 350,000 hybrid vehicles from China. Reducing exports by around 45%. This will be implemented through a safeguard, so we keep control. Thus, for the first time, China has agreed to export moderation in a major industrial sector."

We recall that the EU’s position on this matter was clearly stated by the European Council in 2019 and remains unchanged. This agreement infringes upon the sovereign rights of third states, it does not comply with the Law of the Sea, and is null and void.
