on balance i think we are all actually being extremely charitable to people who have done nothing but abuse the presumption of good faith to spew bile at anyone who disagrees with them and sometimes at people who agree with them the wrong way
Show Postpeople should stop acting like that, then. if an accurate description of what someone has done in the last week sounds like a caricature of an sjw meant to deligitimise concerns for social justice they should modify their behavior, it's not anyone's fault for accurately describing it

there is a real point here! it's just that someone who occupies a hierarchically superior position is not entitled _by their oppression along another dimension of power_ to use that power coercively.
Show Postevery time someone does this i have this itch like i am being dared to start listing every meaningful or relevant claim to oppression i have. i do have them, including very directly relating to subjects i have had arguments about, but this is imho poor form so i do not do it :)
Show Postthis also has a bizarre impact for people with less visible marginalizations, where they're basically dared to out themselves while being yelled at by someone who is more visibly marginalized
