I love this. Use the Oscars like a telethon. Make every segment a story about the fires and the people of LA. Have the firefighters present awards. Los Angeles is a company town and it is a great idea to use the Oscars to employ and amplify.

Respectfully, as an Angeleno who knows a lot of people who lost their homes, I disagree. The Oscars employ a large union crew at a time when people really need jobs, they will bring the focus back to LA recovery efforts right as the news cycle tries to move on. We need this.
