‘It’s the best feeling’: how Copenhagen gave cyclists a green wave. “Traffic lights are synchronised so a rush-hour cyclist at 20km/h can catch green lights all the way.” If you want people to choose not to drive, make the non-driving trip better & easier for them. It’s as simple as that, really.

Rode my bicycle to a dentist appointment; passed a client who was running and said hello. Funny how satisfying a simple, "hi" can be. And a reason to be in cars less often.

I’m increasingly mindful of and frustrated by situations where low income housing in the Charlottesville area is poor quality. People deserve better. The city/county need to do more to hold landlords accountable and provide resources to ensure proper upkeep, but we also need state level legislation.
