How does that help the US as a nation? Right now we can literally pay our national debt by printing $ and pretty much all other countries help carry the inflation. We can devaluate to help foreign trade because we have control.

To be fair, I can also see arguments Bitcoin is bad for the US and undermines our unique position as the country that controls the globe's reserve currency. Nothing a US president should want to do.
