They still want all of the services. They certainly want police to protect THEIR property and keep crime away from THEM. They are just selfish and want others to pay for it. They are making a stupid argument based on privilege and greed.

You pay property tax because you’re still using the services provided to you by the government those taxes pay for.

“I should only pay taxes for things I use” is a fun precept to adopt after you’ve stopped using services that were funded by the full tax base — you would have needed to pay much much more when your kids were in school if seniors hadn’t been pitching in with property taxes back then!
