And if I could recommend one thing, right now, for every trans person hearing the news with dread: making a plan helps. What's your medical plan in case of emergency? Who are the people you can rely on? Do you know the local and national groups who can support you? Friendship trees? Mutual aid?

None of this transphobic treatment is logical, reasonable, or defendable. Ultimately, it comes down to disgust and a sense that trans people are contaminated and broken.

This is it- I'll use another term that is often misused but I find it very prudent here, Gaslighting We have every paper & institution ignore our needs & attack us constantly but turn around to watch dogs, global institutions & the press to say they are trying to help keep us safe. Its maddening
