It's scary how the guidance and rabid opinions are leading us away from this simple understanding. Treatment based on need is now something we have to hope a medical professional gets right and probably have to remind them of it too just in case...

More than that, we HAVE to treat patients on HRT according to their transitioned to gender/sex or things will go very wrong. Labs also change with the endocrine system, so if you read the bloods of a trans women with male values in mind things will go dangerously wrong everywhere.
