We did everything possible to try and welcome Russia into the modern world. Saw a microcosm of this as a young a captain in Kosovo, ordered to man joint checkpoints w/ the Russian Army, my guys were exposed to booze, prostitutes, drugs everyday. No attempt to be a role model would change them.
